Same goes for the Heartworn Prevention. You must give your dog one pill every month. You purchase the pills based on your dogs weight. Again, I recommend buying a 6 month supply. It is cost efficient and you wont have to worry about it buying them every month. Please mark your calander though, beacause Oone month goes by so fast and you want to make sure that your dog is always protected.

Pet Insurance

Should I get insurance for my dog? This seems to be a popular question. Based on experience I would say yes, but only if you are willing to buy the premium plans. You want to make sure you are covered for emergency room visits and common problems, like Conjunctivitis, Urinary Tract Infections, Sprains, Gas, etc.

There is always something that I seem to be worried about. I recommend spending the money upfront to help protect yourself later on. I am the type of person that would charge a million dollars to make sure my dog is okay, but I know that there are a lot people that either don’t have credit cards or just simply know they can’t afford high charges in the emergency room.
