SPORTS AND RECREATION

Obviously all dogs need exercise especially those with high energy like a pitbull. It is amazing at how much difference exercise makes in my dogs. If they had a lot exercise and are tire, they are angels. If they don’t, they are restless and can get into trouble. My dog Jayden will wonder the house grabbing anything he can reach to chew on. If he is worn out, he will sleep.

Long walks are great and it is best for two a day. Even a long walk in the day may not be enough for the night time. Please make the time to walk your dogs at the very least. Brooklyn is a big fetch player. He will chase his ball for hours even if he can’t catch his breath. So in lieu of walks sometimes we play fetch for 20 – 30 minutes. If you dog doesn’t play catch, walking can get boring. Switch up your routes too to give you dog different surrounding and smells which is stimulating for a dog. Be patient and let them sniff around. They enjoy it.

Below are some other common activities that Owner can get their dogs involved in. Remember, exercise can solve a lot of problems.

Agility

Flyball

Fetch

Treadmill

Running
