ABOUT ME

It’s simple; my passion is animals especially dogs, so I decided to develop this website to help educate other people about dogs. I am by no means an expert, but I am an experienced dog Owner and a Certified Dog Trainer. When it comes to dogs, experience often overshadows the text book experts.

My heart lies with my four dogs. Over the past several years my dogs have been my main source of education; the first education that I truly cared about. In 2006, I graduated College with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. I pushed my way through college to accomplish my goals which at that time was to have a good paying, prestigious career. Although, I enjoy my job and the material possessions that I am able to afford, I regret never following my heart. I followed the path of society into college to be successful. What I am learning now as a young adult, is that success is not measured in dollars, but in happiness. I constantly regret not pursuing a career revolved around animals.

I have spent the past couple of years researching different careers, but unless I wanted to go back to College to earn a Veterinary Degree, I would never be able to change careers and still afford my home and my family. So, instead of wasting time trying to change careers, I decided to purchase Site Build It and build this website on my spare time to share my knowledge of dogs. I find myself constantly talking about my dogs to my friends and family, but I know that there are a lot of people that I don’t know that are looking for answers to the same questions, so this website helps me share my stories and recommendations. My husband and I are the proud Owners of four pitbulls so the majority of my experience is with larger, stronger dogs. I have dealt with all aspects of owning a pet from searching for a puppy, thinking of unique dog names, obedience training, behavioral problems, health problems, food options, and finding toys that my dogs will not tear apart in 5 minutes (actually 5 seconds)! I have purchased so many “tough” rubber toys for my dogs that wind up in little pieces, half of which they end up swallowing.
